Zwei REACH-Anhänge tragen die Zähne der Verordnung.

Anhang XIV: Zulassung

Ein Stoff hier darf nur mit ausdrücklicher, zeitlich befristeter Erlaubnis verwendet werden, die die Kommission erteilt. Ohne Zulassung gibt es nach dem Ablauftermin (Sunset Date) keine Verwendung.

Anhang XVII: Beschränkung

Ein Stoff hier ist für bestimmte Verwendungen direkt verboten oder begrenzt. Es gibt kein Antragsverfahren; der Grenzwert gilt einfach.

Beide Anhänge werden regelmäßig geändert; der genaue Eintrag, Anwendungsbereich und die Daten sind daher vor jeder Nutzung in der konsolidierten REACH-Verordnung und bei der ECHA zu bestätigen.
